Wiper Blade Selection Tips

Blade Types

  • Conventional: Metal frame, affordable, may ice up
  • Beam: No frame, better pressure, aerodynamic
  • Hybrid: Frame with aerodynamic shell, good all-around
  • Winter: Rubber boot protects from ice buildup

Replacement Signs

  • Streaking or smearing on windshield
  • Squeaking or chattering noise
  • Skipping across the glass
  • Visible cracks or tears in rubber
  • Replace every 6-12 months for best visibility

Pro Tip: Driver side is often 1-2" longer than passenger to maximize the driver's field of view. Never exceed manufacturer max sizes or blades may collide or hit the windshield frame.
