Oil Change Best Practices
Proper Oil Level Check
- Park on level ground
- Wait 5+ minutes after engine off
- Remove dipstick, wipe clean
- Reinsert fully, remove and read
- Level should be between MIN and MAX
- Add 0.5-1qt if below MIN mark
Oil Type Selection
- Conventional: Budget option, 3-5K mile intervals
- Synthetic Blend: Better protection, 5-7K miles
- Full Synthetic: Best protection, 7-15K miles
- High Mileage: For 75K+ mile engines
